The Polish Reinsurance Company (Polskie Towarzystwo Reasekuracji) is the only company in Poland specialising strictly in the reinsurance business, i.e. in providing insurance to insurance companies by taking over part of their insurance premium income in exchange for subsequent participation in the coverage of losses. The company has been operating in the insurance market since June 1996.
We are a professional reinsurance company which is not only filling a gap in the Polish insurance market, but also successfully helping to develop the insurance markets of Central and Eastern Europe, which are the focus of our business.
The Polish Reinsurance Company is one of the biggest exporters of financial services in Poland. The company operates in 33 foreign markets, where it has 150 out of its 166 clients.
